Shopping Swimming Sleeping

DAY ONE

After my breakfast of things which I still had at home: oatmeal, milk, apple and maple syrup

I went to the bank and got 100 € in coins, an egg-tablet from the market to get a feeling for how much 3,30 € a day are:

 And then I went shopping:

 2 kg flour
1 kg sugar
3 cubes of fresh yeast
2 carrots
4 superbig mushrooms (400 gr.)
1 Cauliflower
1/2 kg plums
1/2 kg tangerine
1 kg apples
1 zucchini
2 beers
3 cucumbers
12 bio eggs
2 x puréed tomatoes
and not on the picture:
canned sardines
950g of minced meat

All that costs: 20,16 €!

So, this is how my egg-tablet looks like after the first day:

I am not sure if my cultural activity can actually be catogized as "cultural" but it was an activity nevertheless. I went swimming with my godchild and I can say - if I would not have a deal with my godchild's mother (I am going to teach swimming and she pays my ticket - so we both safe money because a swimming class would cost 190,00€ !!!) going swimming would never fit in the budget.

We went to the swimming pool in Schöneberg, Hauptstraße 39, and the pool is nice: it has a 25m pool, 1m and 3m spring board, non-swimmer-pool, a pool for small children, a big and a small slide, an outdoor pool with a flow channel and a pool with warm salty water a bit like a whirlpool.

The downside of this pool is the price: 1 hour for a grown up costs 4,50€ and for a kid 3,40€ - we stayed a bit longer than 2 hours and ended up paying: 12,40 € together.

There are cheaper options for indoor swimming though it's a bit complicated to find them: you either have to go swimming before 8.00 in the morning or after 20.00 in the evening but then you can get a ticket for 2,80€ but that is only for swimming pools which are called "Standardhallenbäder".
To find a pool close to your home or work  HERE - you find an overview about all swimming pools in Berlin.

After my swimming activity I had my dinner:
a box of sardines, 4 slices of bread, some quark and cucumber slices. I cheated a bit because I didn't spend money on the quark and bread - since I still had that in my stock.

Also you might wonder - what happened to lunch today? Well actually I didn't had any because I ate my breakfast so late that I didn't have time for lunch.
