If you want to save the 12,50€ entrance fee to go up the tv-tower on Alexanderplatz there is an alternative for 3,00€. You just have to find the entrance of the Park Inn Hotel (next to Burger King) and take the elevator up, then walk up a few flights of stairs and then you can enjoy the view on the terrace. Of course it's not the same as the 360 degree-view from the tv-tower. But you can actually have a picture of the tv-tower and if you are lucky you can witness how people bungee-jump down from the balcony you are at.
