Free museum & cake

DAY 3

Breakfast: 6 Brötchen for 0,80 €

Activity:

Walking over the flea and artmarket at the museum-island, we only looked at things but I am sure it's possible to get some unique Berlin-souvenirs there if you bring some money.

50 cents of the budget went to a guy which was playing the glass-harp:

On the way from the fleamarket to the musuem we stumbled into a place which was auctioning off all sorts of things - unfortunately a bit expensive not really our taste:

Deutsches Historisches Museum - for free

We actually managed to visit 3 of the non-permanent exhibitions:
1. Zerstörte Vielfalt - destroyed variety -  Berlin 1933 - 1938 (it is still going on until the 10th of November and the entrance is free) For more information you can click HERE. You could rent for free an audio guide available in German in English.
2. Gulag - Traces and Testimonies 1929–1956 (the exhibition was mainly in German) for more information you can click HERE
3. 1813 – At the Battlefield near Leipzig - for more information click HERE.

On the way home we took a peek in the St. Hedwigs-Kathedrale where we could have listened to a free organ concert in the evening - but we had enough of culture for today and bought some cake instead - my Bienenstich-cake was 0,85 € and very good!

For dinner we had Königsberger Klopse. Meatballs in a white sauce with capers and potatoes.

Total spendings today: 2,15€
